Dan Trimble’s Message of the Week – 11 March 2022

Hi, Folks!

Natural Element Homes is coming to Pennsylvania in a big way! The Hardwood Mall in Emlenton, PA is partnering with Natural Element Homes to offer the best of both worlds to customers all over the Northeast. We’ve installed a display, an office, and a Design Center, with a model home coming soon!

Natural Element Homes and the Hardwood Mall are perfect complements to one another. Natural Element Homes specializes in high-quality custom log and timber frame homes, and the Hardwood Mall is the ultimate destination for those who love hardwood with its extensive selection of hardwood flooring, walls, doors, windows, beams, furniture, and more.

To say that we’re excited about this arrangement is an understatement. We can’t wait to see you at the Hardwood Mall. Stop in and say hello!

Thanks!

Dan Trimble’s Message of the Week – 25 February 2022

Hi, Folks!

This month we are introducing two big new happenings at Natural Element Homes.

  • One is a program we call Timber Frame EZ, a new approach to timber frame home building that makes timber framing more approachable, simpler to achieve, and easier to budget into your project.
  • A new alliance with a fine company in Pennsylvania, expanding on the footprint of Natural Element Homes to the northeast, and making Natural Element Homes more accessible for a whole new bunch of folks in the Mid Atlantic area.

Stay tuned! There is so much more to come.

Thanks!

Dan Trimble’s Message of the Week – 21 December 2021

Hi, Folks!

Merry Christmas! I hope your holidays are full of family and fun. Today is the 21st of December, my favorite day of the year. Even though, yes, it’s the darkest day of the year, it’s also the day we turn it all around. The days start getting longer, and we look all eyes forward to spring, sunshine, and new growth in the garden.

If a new Natural Element Home is on your Christmas list for 2022, this note is for you. Without fail, every year around April, May, and June, folks come to us and say “we want to build a home this year”. Folks, by that time of the year, it is too late. Even with a skip in our step, it takes a good 6 months to get the design firmed up, financing lined up, permits pulled, contractors scheduled, and inevitably, we end up building in the dead of winter.

It’s for this reason that I encourage you to start as early as you possibly can. Make the building of your home as good as it can possibly be. If we get started in January, after the holidays settle down, you can plan to build in July, August, September. These are typically the best months in which to build. July, August, September are traditionally the driest months, so materials stay clean and in prime condition, and the carpenters do their best work in good weather. Also, the days are long so the guys can work full twelve-hour days, so you can be under roof quickly. Then when winter does come, the interior can be finished and your contractor has great working conditions for his winter work.

Trust me when I tell you that I understand the holidays are busy and life fills up pretty quickly. I just want the best for your 2022 home build, and I look forward to working with you. Again, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Let’s make 2022 the year we all want it to be.
